GLOWSAFE® Glow Safe launch Custom Rear Panels
For several years, Glow Safe offered several standard words for the rear GLOWSAFE® panels of our vests, so you could have the appropriate word, such as "CAUTION", "SLOW", "SECURITY" etc. But what if you wanted your own word, say your name, your business or club name? In the past this would have probably not been realistic, but now Glow Safe have launched Custom rear panels, so that individual panels can be produced in a cost effective manner. Minimum order quantity: One.
These panels were launched at the South West Bike Show at the Bath and West showground on the weekend of 5th and 6th May.

GLOWSAFE® Glow Safe supports National BikeSafe
A team from Glow Safe attended the National BikeSafe weekend in Cheltenham, the weekend of March 31st – April 1st.
BikeSafe is an initiative run by Police Forces around the United Kingdom who work with the whole of the biking world to help to lower the number of motorcycle rider casualties. By passing on their knowledge, skills and experience, police motorcyclists can help other motorcyclists become safer more competent riders.
By helping motorcyclists increase their ability and confidence, they enable them to get even more enjoyment from riding your motorcycle.
The BikeSafe initiative is a nationwide plan of action to reduce the number of motorcycle accident casualties by promoting safer riding.

GLOWSAFE® Leading Horse Publication backs GLOWSAFE® Tabard
Horse and Hound Magazine have chosen the GLOWSAFE® Equestrian Tabard as one of the six best reflective products on the market.
This tabard, available in a range of sizes from small through to XL, has proved very popular with horse riders since its launch at the West Country Equine Fair last year.
Featuring two GLOWSAFE® strips on the front and a horse motif on the rear, this is a brilliant way of being seen when lighting conditions are poor. The tabard is lit by means of 4 x AAA batteries, and an adaptor can also be supplied so that rechargeable batteries can be used without having to be removed from the tabard to charge.
An easily accessible switch allows the rider to change the lighting to "flashing" or being on permanently.
The vest is particularly effective on unlit country lanes as these is no need for an external light source, unlike a traditional reflective vest.
In poor light conditions the wearer can be seen half a mile away, so it makes other road users (and helicopter pilots!) aware of the riders presence.

GLOWSAFE® Glow Safe provide supports the CycleSafer Challenge
Glow Safe were pleased to donate a prize to St Joseph's Junior School, Upper Norwood for winning a prize in this year's CycleSafer Challenge
The year group came first in Category C of the competition which asked classes from Year Four and Five to design a cycle-friendly school or to create a book of poems and pictures on cycling safety. The pupils from St Joseph's carried out a class project looking at cycling as a whole, and included topics such as safety, fashion and school issues. They illustrated their work using drawings, photos, poems and text.
The competition, which was judged by broadcaster Jon Snow, cyclist and Transport for London ambassador Nikki Harris, and Leukaemia Research patron Michelle Lineker, received over 800 entries from schools across London including some from individual pupils who were asked to design a cycling safety gadget or poster, and a number of group entries. The judges claimed they were very impressed by the project from St Joseph’s and so voted it into first place.
Eleven-year-olds, Gregory Mavungu and Aja Toyloy-Ashi were chosen to attend the Cycle Show in London earlier this month to represent their school. They received a winner’s certificate, a Transport for London cycling safety bag and a voucher for £100 to spend on Glowsafe products, cycling safety products for children and adults that use the latest technology to ensure maximum safety.
The prizes were presented by three times junior world trials champion Ben Slinger who also wowed audiences at the show with his jaw dropping bike stunts.
The Cyclesafer Challenge is in its third year and is an annual event, which encourages Year Four and Five pupils across London to think creatively about cycling and safety.
Cllr Maria Gatland, cabinet member for education said: "Well done to pupils from Year Five at St Joseph's. Many youngsters enjoy riding their bikes so it is important they learn about cycle safety from an early age. This competition invites pupils to take a fun look at a serious subject and teaches them many of the vital rules of the road".
